BIO

A Milwaukee Wisconsin native, Patrice Herbst has called the nearby artistic community of Cedarburg home for over 30 years. Her work has received enormous response and wins constant acclaim for the depth and richness of color and her innovative approach to materials.

Enjoying the challenge of being self-taught, Patrice has worked successfully in a wide range of mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolor, colored pencil, charcoal and pastel for over 30 years. During this time she has worked in figurative, realism, and abstract styles, in recent years she has returned to her love of oils and now focuses exclusively on still life.  On April 13, 2006 Patrice was listed in the "75 Women of Influence in the Visual Arts" by Visual Art Writer Mary Louise Schumacher in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
